Hei I’m Cecilie.

I’m a nature loving Norwegian with, a passion for healthy living, being curious, the outdoors, wild swimming, saunas, nutritious food & delicious wine and dogs, I just love dogs (and walking, for miles!). I’m a recovering stress head and perfectionist. I’ve felt stuck, burnt out and very low, so I know a thing or two about the challenges you might face. Read on to find out more about my story so far.

Being healthy is important to you but you’re probably not as healthy as you want to be. Things have changed. Your body’s not as fit as it was. Maybe your life situation or work has changed, or you might have had an injury or illness. You’re just not feeling as energised or as happy as you want to be and quite frankly you’re not feeling very confident in yourself and your abilities.  You know there is SO much information out there on how to be fit/healthy/happy/perfect etc but quite frankly it’s overwhelming and you don’t need any more stress in your already stressful life.

You’re not alone. Lots of people struggle with knowing what to do and to make lasting changes to their lifestyles. We’re not meant to figure everything out ourselves, knowing when to seek support and guidance is a sign of strength and you’ve already taken the first step, well done! Movement

Humans need movement to thrive, yet at the same time we are hardwired to conserve energy. What a modern dilemma! Movement is a huge category including everything from breathing to sprinting, exercise is only a small category within this. Focusing on movement rather than exercise can make a huge difference to your health and your motivation to move. Core Coaching helps you find the right balance of movement and exercise that fits with your life goals.

Mindset

Your mindset plays a critical role in how you cope with life’s challenges and is a big factor in your ability to succeed, both personally and professionally. We get the idea that we have to exercise our bodies, but did you know that you need to train your brain too? Core Coaching will help you understand how your brain works and give you lots of tools to support behaviour change. And, behaviour change really is the key to creating any lasting, meaningful change.

Lifestyle

Lifestyle is a big category covering hugely important topics such as nutrition, sleep, stress management, burnout, relationships, career, purpose to name a few. We’re not looking for perfection in any one of these areas but they are all worth addressing at some point. The word ‘health’ comes from the word ‘whole’ and to be truly healthy you need to look at your life as a whole. Core Coaching will support and inspire you to see that everything is connected!

What underpins my approach, both with individual coaching, group coaching and corporate wellbeing, is my Scandinavian background and way of thinking. It’s all about balance, and enjoying life in a sustainable way that works for you, friends & family and the environment.

But, it’s confusing  overwhelming and time consuming and you don’t really know where to start or how to move on. Well I’ve got this! I’ll be your guide on the side, helping you to navigate the world of health and wellbeing in a way that works for you and your life situation taking into account your values, beliefs and life goals.

Pilates and Movement Classes 

Humans need movement to thrive, but it doesn’t have to be “exercise” in the traditional sense. Exercise has become more of a punishment for what you’ve eaten rather than a celebration of what your body can do. My classes combine Pilates and Natural Movements (movements that are natural and essential for humans to live optimally) to give you a movement experience that is challenging, fun and varied. The classes will set you up for everyday life and tasks as well as other sports or hobbies. You’ll come away feeling strong, mobile and energised. All bodies are welcome!
